Fortunately for those *sshole refs, the Argos scored at the end of the half anyway. That was perhaps the most INDEFENSIBLE non-call I've ever seen.

Not a bad first half at all, all things considered.

AAAAAAAAARRRGOOOOOOOOOS!

Very entertaining game! I was shocked at that non call too Ranger. I think they all knew it, you could see the refs looking at each other to throw the flag. Over this season ive been slowly getting back into the CFL and will definitely go to more games next year. Allen played a great game. I was having my concerns about him this year but he stepped it up big time. Good job Double Blue!

Yes, a fine win, and a great effort by that crafty veteran Allen.

Are we the only three guys watching the game? I think it was a pretty good game too, especially the Argos won. I wonder how the city is going to react when it's only the Grey Cup.

Great game by the double blue. They fell asleep during the first drive but then made the adjustments on defense and shut down the LIons offence. Makes me wonder why Printers wasn't brought in at some point to shake things up a bit for them. In the end a great ending to a great season for the league as a whole. Let's hope it continues to grow in the marlets it is in now and in new ones (expansion).

BTW whats with the punting tonight. Prefontaine was not up to his calibre but that BC dude...lol. I called a buddy in Vancouver and asked him if he wanted me to drive to Ottawa for him and take over the punting duties. Geez the guy was averaging like 23 yrds a punt.

Mojo, I think their strategy - a very questionable one - was to keep the ball away from our return boys on punts and kickoffs, no matter what the cost. The net result in the first half might have been 150 extra yards or so in field position. :) Sorta like they conceded the special teams war before the game started, and negated our chances of a big momentum swing while giving our offense excellent starting position much of the time. If I'd been a BC special teams player, I'd have been demoralized.

way to go double blue! congrats to pinball clemons, truly one class individual, always with that 100-watt smile!

good job by the 2004 grey cup most outstanding player, 41 year old QB damon allen! antonio warren was dynamite running the ball for the lions! john avery came up with quite a few important runs, especially in the 4th quarter.

have to disagree with the strategy of the lions, to give up field position, rather than punt to bruce or livingstone. way too much real estate to just give away. as well, that o'mahony guy really sucks!

but the topper to the whole evening, was the crowd! 50,00 plus. it seems the CFL has turned the corner, and is on it's way to respectability once again. way to go CFL!

I thought you had me on Ignore.
For someone who's "ignoring" me, you sure seem preoccupied.

you could be right about their strategy but i dont think it was too wise a one. There were many of his kicks that just looked like he flubbed them too. And to see this guy and think. Damn i could do that...lol. The good thing was they took away a big strength by kicking away and the Argos still found a way to win. Big D and Allen steps up. Scared me when he went down though

Couldnt believe Casey Printers didnt start either. Its not hind sight, ive been saying all week that he has to be the starter. I mean hes the league MVP. He got them to where they are. He deserved the start and Dickenson could have been brought in. I think that sucked and i think CP was also a bit peeved although he tried to say all the right things. I cant imagine both those guys being back in BC next year. Wonder if Allen retires, the Argos will get Dickenson

WOOOOOOO! Just got in from Ottawa and boy, am I hung over! What a party! Ottawa put on a great show - great weekend overall. However, the City of Ottawa, which owns Lansdowne Park, screwed over the Renegades big time. They put only one beer area at the tailgate party, hardly any food, and they ran out of beer more than 2 hours before kickoff. At least there was a lot of rye. Then, at the game, Frank Clair Stadium ran out of beer just after halftime. And we think we have it bad with Skydome mismanagement! Great game though. Next year - Vancouver here we come!

I don't think it was supposed to be "at any cost" but with the way O'Mahoney was punting, it was at "too much a cost".

Yep, I agree.
LOL
I think it was Buono's doing, and that O'Mahoney did a very poor job of executing. It was *very* questionable strategy.

Only 100 people meet the Argos return at Union Station!
Only 25K at the victory parade!

Low numbers for for any city let alone Canada's largest!
