Green lasers

Anyone had any experience with green lasers? Apparently with these laser pointers you can see the beam from the pointer into the night sky. Astronomy enthusiasts use them to point out constellations or other celestial bodies. They retail for around US$150 to $270 depending on laser size and packaging.

I just thought it would be interesting to own one and have been doing some internet research. But before I buy anything I was curious if anyone out there has had eny experience using them.

I thought in the darkness of the strip club VIP I can point out any dancer. Maybe I could resell them to the clubs for the bouncers to use instead of that flashlight. The laser comes off a little more professional than a flashlight.

Not a bad idea but I suspect that since flashlights are so dirt cheap, most clubs would pass on the US 170+.

Also, I would think most clubs (and dancers) would strongly object to anyone using a light (flash or laser) to point out girls in VIP.

Now, if the light could only be seen while wearing special glasses, that would be cool. Groups of guys could point out girls and never be detected.

The only laser pointers I'm aware of are those with the red beam. You have to be careful not to point them directly at anyone's eyes since they can cause damage. They have also been a problem at concerts, where some people in the audience intentionally point them at the performers on stage. Go figure.

The red lasers can be alot of fun however. I know of a guy who was living in an appartment who had one once. One night he was looking out his window onto the outside parking in the back and he saw a teenager scoping out the cars below. The stupid kid was obviously trying to break-in to one or more of them. Anyway, he got the red laser pointer out and went to the balcony and painted the kid with it (shined it on him). He said he never saw anyone run so fast before once he saw the red light - must have thought it was the laser targeting system on a gun.
