Its a feature on most new smartphones now which allow you to "beutify" yourself. You can enlarge your eyes to make it look more "cartoony", slim your face and clear up your skin. Im pretty sure we will be seeing alot more ads like that.
I contacted her and told her that I found her pictures online, and asked WHY she is using stolen pictures.
She said that she "looks" like that person - "honest".
I said there's no way I would go to see her because I cannot trust someone who steals someone else's pictures.
She did not respond to that.
Seriously - there should be a way for one of us to:
1. Investigate, and identify the ones using stolen pics
2. Create a backpage ad that showcases/proves/provides links that exposes those ads which are the deceptive ones
This way, it would hopefully serve to educate the customers - to not make a costly mistake, and also to deter those fakers from this practice of photo-stealing.
On another note - there ARE a TON of FAKES on backpage these days.
It is definitely becoming outrageous.
There was another one that I found had stolen pictures:

I texted her to complain about the fakery and (this person) said yes, they were stolen, but that it was an RCMP operation and mentioned "c38" I think.
Whatever.

Backpage needs an ombudsman like I described above - to call-out the fakes and post the proof right in the midst of all the stolen-pic ads.

You likely did. When I went there the girl was the same as the pics but the age difference and touch ups were too much for me. Very competitive prices, but in this case you do get what you pay for. Although... maybe you'll get lucky
I've yet to take the plunge with BP in Ottawa or anywhere else for that matter, but that pretty much sums up most reviews I've read - MOST are "you get what you pay for" or complete rip-off/waste of time, with the occasional diamond buried in there. Sorta like the Gold Rush - sift thru tons of mud in the hopes of an ounce of gold! ;-)
