It's going to be interesting now that the major players have caps on their service. You'll only be able to watch a certain amount of tv and then pay through the nose after that. That was seen by some months ago when the caps became the norm.

The beta has been around for awhile.

Here's instructions on how to get access:

LOL are you a beta tester djk?
the link you supplied is for a completely different service. (Google TV Beta) and it's a well documented internet hoax

http://techcrunch.com/2007/01/28/google-tv-an-elaborate-prank/

The real Google TV project would consist of a set top box or built in hardware to your big screen television, adding the Android OS and Chrome browser to your TV
making access to twitter, facebook, google etc as simple as changing a channel. other possibilities are viewing something on your android powered phone and pressing a button to have it transmitted to your tv or even remotely controlling your tv via the android phone. its all open source and apps will be in abundance.
Intel will supply the CPU, Logitech will supply control peripherals for now. and Sony will probably be the first to have it all built in to the TV

It's real.

Check out this happy user -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77OQrYZP6CQ

It'll take awhile, keep up at it!
it's another in the series of hoax videos.
here is a comment about that vid "this is the guy from the lasagna cat, and fatal farm videos, and they're connected to the infinite solutions videos. So this one's a hoax too"

and from the techcrunch page posted above "Update: This just gets better and better. New video found via CenterNetworks“confirming” the accuracy of the hoax. This guy says he got it to work on his 114th login, after copying numerous links on the Gmail settings page."

the hobby needs more capitalism
See, 114th logins and you're in.

Not too bad. The time spent beats the cost of cable service every month.
