Still hard to fathom Google being worth more than GM, Ford and Chrysler.

Well, I think you can own GM for $1.98 provided you would assume their debt . There is real concern that they will go bankrupt sometime this year. Ford isn't much better.

A lot of the recent run up was the result of hype nad over expectations. Even if they did not meet "analyst expectations" it is still a good stock. wait a few more days and start buying.
What are "analyst expectations" based on, anyway? Seriously... how do they base potential projections?

(In my experience, I have NEVER, EVER seen a business plan that did not overestimate sales and revenue, and underestimate expenses. Not once. And I've been doing this for nearly 20 years.)

i think the term "analyst expectations" is used to manipulate the stock. It scares the little guy, they pull out and the big boys pick it up at a discount...IMO
