Google's Nexus 7 is making serious market-share headway against Apple in Japan, according to Nikkei.

It's hard to find sales figures for the Nexus 7, I would expect it to do very well, Google has been marketing it well, it has good specs (a better offer I think than the 7" Kindles). We'll see if Google starts releasing data, Amazon has been very resistant to giving sales figures, probably not a good sign.

Not all people purchase depending on a love/hate relationship with the manufacturer. Many buy based on the best technical specifications and/or their needs. I have an Asus Transformer - suits my needs but I don't think it's on the map for most consumers.

So, they surveyed how many stores had the Nexus versus the iPad mini? That's it? Only an idiot would put any credence to this article.

And, the iPad mini is out of stock everywhere in Asia. For example, if you go to the Apple Singapore or Apple Hong Kong websites, it's backordered by 2 weeks! And, if Apple itself is out of stock you can bet that the retailers are out too.
