Short answer

Use: https://www.google.com/searchbyimage?sbisrc=4chanx&image_url=%IMG&safe=off

Replace "%IMG" in the URL parameters above with your pics URL. For example:
https://www.google.com/searchbyimage?sbisrc=4chanx&image_url= &safe
=off

Long answer

I've been struggling with figuring out how to search for a picture online. Some fellow hobbyists are generous with their time and perform this search for us when we ask about a certain SP on LL, for example. Thanks guys 🎩👌

This helps when trying to find out if a post is fraudulent: often times the pictures were reused from elsewhere on the Web.

I finally found a way to do this and I believe it is device and browser-agnostic. For example, if you're on Android it can be as easy as tapping the Google Lens icon if it's embedded in the client that you use for surfing the Web. I use an iPhone and the DuckDuckGo web client for privacy reason and don't have Google Lens built into the ecosystem.

I tried installing the Google app on iOS but Lens within the app doesn't seem to work like I need it to: search for an image by URL.

If I don't search an image by its URL I find myself having to save the image locally to my device (download) and select it for the Lens search. Then of course I gotta delete and scrub it from trash 😉

Search by URL is much quicker for me and "safe" (see the 'Short answer' above).

I hope this helps some. It will certainly be part of my insurance policy to avoid getting scammed by fake LL ads from now on.
