Is it possible to install Chrome from a USB key WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET?

You would have to download the .msi file from here and copy to your USB key, https://www.google.ca/work/chrome/browser/. Or Google for "google chrome enterprise msi".
Thanks. It looks like there are two versions. One is download and install directly from the Internet and the other version is to download to a USB key and then install offline. I generally prefer to install stuff offline where possible.

So, I installed the updated Chrome browser offline. I hate the "upgraded" Chrome. Wish I could switch back. How do I switch back?

I have Windows. If I do a "systems restore", can I get my old Chrome back? (I don't think I still have the old Chrome .exe file. If I did, I suppose I could uninstall the "upgraded" Chrome and re-install the old Chrome.))

Hey @SkyRider. Not too sure of your predicament, but, if you still have the "offline installer" on your usb, then re-run it. You should get an option to Repair/Uninstall, choose the uninstall. (If there is no uninstall option then you may have to run the msi from a command line with the -u switch.)
Not sure of your tech level, I am assuming you went to Add/Remove programs first, to uninstall Chrome. Now, this is how I understand it. The offline installer is the same version as you would get if you were to install the online version, only you don't download during the install. You may have to Google for an older version of Chrome. Is there a specific version of Chrome you are looking for? (It's just a browser, the latest version is usually the best, unless we are talking IE, then all bets are off.)
I am interested to hear how you get around it. A system restore will work, but pretty drastic in my opinion (as my files are in a constant flux), but maybe not such an extreme measure to yourself.

After I posted I found the older Chrome 2013 version still saved on my harddrive (so no need to Google for it). I could uninstall the new 2015 version that I just installed a few days ago and then re-install the older 2013 version (so no need to do a system restore).

Don't tell anybody but I actually have 2 computers. One is now using the 2015 Chrome (which I don't like but will give it some more time to see if I still don't like it). The other computer is still using the older version of Chrome.

P.S. I find that whenever I "upgrade" to a newer browser (Chrome or Firefox) there is usually something I don't like in the newer version.
