Perhaps he needs a gun as well....

I have a good friend who is an employment lawyer in the bay area... his take is that these VERY cash rich companies are exposing themselves legally here for no real financial gain (the motivation he sees is disruption of projects and flow of sensitive information) - Eric would know about that stealing his smartphone plan from Apple while sitting on their board.

He also says it's a crazy bidding war for SW engineering talent so if you have these skills there is a gold rush in Silicon Valley again... (a boom that bursts every few years).
