Goodbye Ontario Place

Ontario Place, a fading Toronto icon, will soon be torn down and replaced by a newer version to restore the park to its former glory. Sky's the limit as to what will replace the fading jewel on the lake.

Get ready to say hello to the RBC/TD/RIM/Rogers, etc Park. Take your pick. Ontario can't afford to rebuild it and they will have to take a nice fat "naming fee" from someone.

They would if it was filled with cheap condos made with crappy green windows, all of which blocked pedestrians from enjoying the waterfront.

The OMB has proven that time after time.

I loved that Cinesphere if that goes down then pease put a new huge Cinesphere in the city.
If you look at pictures from the 70's 80's and early 90's Ontario place was always packed! big line ups.

I remember going by there last summer and it was mostly empty and just not what it use to be.
I don't know what they plan to do with the water front but please make it very beautiful

The Cinesphere would make a good storage room and offices, a companion to the McLaughlin Planetarium at the museum which has been used for that reason since closing in 1995..
