Yesterday, the Search option was missing (BAD NEWS)

Today, it's back (GOOD NEWS)

Today, the listing of Terb members on-line is missing (BAD NEWS)

Will it be returning???

If only some of your would stop posting useless threads like this one
( they add to bandwith /disk space) then it might be possible to keep all the features turned on without having to upgrade anything.

4. If you just upgraded to vB 3.5.x try to disable these 4 options:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Forums Home Page Options -> Display Logged in Users?

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Forum Display Options (forumdisplay) -> Show Users Browsing Forums

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Thread Display Options -> Show Users Browsing Thread

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> Message Searching Options -> Automatic Similar Thread search

Arent about 90% of threads '...useless...'?

I sincerely hope this is a profitable biz for you, but if up-grades are an issue, maybe you should go to paid memberships (or paid/earned VIP members?)

Now that I am hooked, you could likely convince me to pay a year in advance for FAST, constant access to EVERYTHING.

They are admin options, not user options.

Good news: Lots of guys posting pretty pics in their sigs.

Bad News: this occupies bandwidth. I have been on other sites where they have limited the size of the sig pics, or eliminated them altogether.

Well, here's a thought... Close down all of these useless threads.

I've noticed those other sites have almost nil for up to date postings.

For the greater good of TERB, I'm willing to step up to the plate and sacrifice 3,000 of my posts.
I'll let Fred make the choice of which ones.

Sorry Fred - but please appreciate that many Terbites ae not computer whizs - just ordinary horny guys who REALLY appreciate the simplicity and ease of this great service.

I'd love to disable some Admin CP vBulletin Options if I knew where to find them.

I can appreciate that you need revenue to run this system, and that your revenue is generated by advertising monies. So here's a real example of why you should provide a simple reason why that info, available yesterday, is not available today. I had time between 6 and 7pm last night to see one of your paid advertisors, Janda. By seeing that she had logged on around 4:15 or so, it meant I could send her a PM with a reasonable expectation of a response quickly - which she did. She makes money from the date, sees the value of all the services Terb offers, and we are all happy campers.

If someone would like to PM me as to how to get that option back (without enrolling in computer science) please do so.

IMHO I think the video pic sigs should not be allowed. A still picture should be enough, a streaming video sig pic uses more bandwidth.

I second your motion regarding useless and frivolous threads.

However I would also suggest that if the directorship would post announcements about temporary service restrictions with approximate start and end times, there would be less need for uninformed members to make noise and seek information from each other.

You do realize the the bandwidth is not being used by ther TERB server right?
In the sig pics (or videos) there is a link to the pic (or video) which is on another server, a simple 'call' is made from the terb server to the host server of the pic or vid to load the file, it doesn't matter if it is a pic or vid as long as it is not hosted on the TERB server.
