Hi fellow terbites,
I pondered posting this in the lounge but being the issues are in KW, I posted here.
I am looking for names of a really good family law lawyer. One who isn't afraid to take the gloves off and fight hard right away.
Both parents have done their share of crap. Both parents need to see the kids.
I have been told to stay away from Steve Bellingham and Jane McKenzie for they are money wasters who don't care about their client.
Money is not an issue but the end result is what matters. Both parents need to see the kids.
Any recommendations will be appreciated

I've put a recomendation in your PM...
I have lost a case to this guy before approximately 6 years ago, and i liked his style so much he has been my lawyer ever since...
Probably best business lawyer in KW... I am not sure if he takes family law... If he does, he takes pride in his work and is not like other lawyers who treat their work like jobs and stare at the clock to see how much they will invoice...
Good luck...

May I just say that in Family Law there are no winners.
It has to be the toughest thing to go through. My heart goes out to you bestillmehard. I have always felt that children need both parents in their lives in order to succeed.
In a perfect world parents would get along and do what's best for the children.
Unfortunately, what was once love turns into such hate. People try to hurt each other and using the kids is the most hurt they can inflict.
I don't know of any good lawyers...not sure if there is such a thing!
I wish you all the best, and I hope that you both end up your with equal share.

...it is REALLY a shame that people will use the kids as a tool or bargaining chip for their own agenda. And that applies to BOTH sides...wives who keep the father from the kids, and fathers who refuse to pay child support.

One thing a give my ex credit for is that she has NEVER kept my son from me (hell, it would seem she LIKES me to due parenting duty whenever I can...I just hope she is at least getting laid...lol), and she swears she never says a bad word about me to my son. I know I never say a bad word about her,, and in fact always jump in if or when I see him not showing his mother respect ("give your mother a kiss before she leaves..she is the only mother you have"). And I pay my support.

The one thing she does do...when she gets pissed...is question my fatherhood efforts. I know she does that because that is the ONLY thing she could say that would phase me in the least. I could care less what she thinks of me, or what she is doing, or who she is fucking, or anything else. So...she reaches in to the "you don't spend enough time with you son / you don't do enough with your son" trick of bags when desperate....never mind that he spends at least one night a week with me, and three nights every other week, in addition to every Saturday morning.

Oh well - I guess a woman has to do what a woman has to do...especially when you can see how much happier your ex is without you...

Are you certain that you have done all you can to keep this civil? The kids will benefit from a "good" separation. They will suffer immensely when they see their parents fight.

Think of them first, and sort your mess out as best you can...

Good luck to you, but heed what I say~

You're replying to a thread that ended about 1 1/2 years ago. Perhaps it's time to start a new one?
I'd recommend posting in the lounge as there you'll be subjected to a much larger audience than what you're likely to find here in the tri-cities+1 section.
