Good Downtown Toronto Hotels.

hey all. a lady friend of mine is coming into town in a few weeks and she wants to spend the night downtown in a hotel . i was just wondering if anybody knows and good hotels which are reasonably priced.

Le Germain on Mercer Street. It's a newer boutique hotel. Rooms are very nice. Large, high ceilings, huge bathrooms. Sheraton, Westin, Royal York can't compete in my opinion.

For a real inner city hip spot there's the Drake on Queen West, or the Gladstone. Very hip urban sheik.

Please don't shill for Sheik. He is anything but hip and urban. He has at times been turban when he was in his Angus McSingh phase but that was awhile ago.

I like the Grand Hotel. It has nice rooms and a nice pool area.
