Stay down here it's much better.
Northern Ontario sucks.
You know you're in bad shape when even miners won't even touch you lol....Gee, thanks dajodo 2, for that cleverly-worded and helpful piece of advice.
What's the matter? Couldn't get laid in northern Ontario?
Ok, Valerie Pringle. Regular fare starts at $4,000 & 1st class was about double that. Price probably went up much more now. It's two seperate trains change @ Union station. Travelscape often rerun Pringle's CN journey.tboy said:Actually, CN's Canadian train ride from BC to Halifax is supposed to be THE way to see Canada. Although I'd go positively batty being on a train that long......
You are correct sir, there is no direct road access to the crater, but there are roads throughout the region servicing alot of the Nunavik Inuit communities. Falconbridge ran a mine in the area, Randall or Ransom or something like that & my stepdad was a bigwig with a company that produced drilling/mining equipment. He took us kids up north, we stayed in the finest 3-star hotel in the region & had a tour arranged through an Iniut air-charter. The area is vast, treeless tundra, and it wasn't uncommon for scientific or environmental expeditions, or even a film crew doing documentaries or travelogues, to take a caravan of SUV's to the lake. It was the year 2000; people have been going to that region for a hundred years & the Iniut have been getting around for even longer. My stepdad had the means to make it happen, but just about anybody can arrange a tour up there. The top of Mount Everest is a lot, LOT more difficult to get to, but look how many expeditions go there.Clynnog said:Unless I'm mistaken that crater has no road access to get to it.
