She has no legal defence, as the sexual assault (alleged) was not in progress when he was stabbed. Plus, she might be a nutbar. If the Crown refused to prosecute the case, that's a sign that something is amiss with the complaint.

Typically it's the girl who had buyer's remorse after having consensual one night stand with the guy while she was drunk. and then regrets after the fact. but because it was days after the fact, and there is no evidence of struggle, police cannot charge the guy with the rape. girl goes nuts
