From what I've read recently, the SP/ jineterismo scene is in the midst of a clampdown / as women are busted merely for associating with tourists in public etc. Of course, given the nature of the global sex industry -- SP's usually find ways to work around the law.

I'm curious (and planning a trip in Feb.). Does anyone know what the real deal is currently and/or know of a good hotel or residence particulares in Havana for hobbyists?
