Meh lots of great EV choices other then Tesla. And personally I do like the Model S, but Elon has tarnished his rep for sure. AND Tesla makes half its profit from carbon credits that will go away. So Tesla margins WILL FALL significantly.

Will you buy one Model S if they cut the price 25%? Sure there are a lot of EV right now...Hyundia Ioniq is great...the rest are meh. I'd probably consider Model Y or S...or even go as far as a lucid sedan...

The Kia EV6 is pretty nice, a used Polestar 2 is a screaming BARGOON. A used Tesla model S can be had for very little $ as well. If you buy an older one and spend a bit of money on it you have LIFETIME FREE POWER. VW ID4 is also quite nice. BMWs are nice as well

Anyone know who actually pays the carbon tax. I know it is collected at the pump, but is it paid at the refinery or the dealer? If the dealer pays it upon receipt of a load from the refinery then if there is no rebate to the dealer of his inventory then the cost will be passed along to the consumer until he gets another tanker delivery.
