Garage Paradise/Devil's Martini

As I understand, last year the building housing these two downtown bars was sold to build condos but there were supposedly plans to move at least Garage Paradise to a new location. Those were always two of my favorites bars to hang at while partying in Toronto. Have either or these places reincarnated in downtown Toronto? Thanks.

No, there has been no replacement for either place to-date. Richard, who owned Devils, somewhat lost interest in the Toronto establishment ever since moving down to Arizona (I think) about 2-3 yrs ago to open up his hotel/restaurant. A few of the guys who managed the place was working on a new bar just prior to its closing but, unfortunately, Julian, met an untimely death and as far as I know, the plans fell apart.

Those gawd damn condos. Devils was the best!

Can't say I ever picked up a woman at either place. But did get plenty shitfaced and had plenty of fun at each. I'll miss them.

So, what are some of the better watering holes downtown these days?
