I am experiencing some intestinal/digestion problems latelly and found out that I have gallstones. Still waiting for other test results but in the meantime I googled and found alternative/natural ways to get rid of the gallstones, since I'd rather not go under the knife.

Has anyone ever done the LIVER FLUSH ?

ie: http://www.curezone.com/clark/liver.asp

did you flush out the gallstones, did the flush work, how did you feel?

Drink cranberry juice, it is good for kidney stones, so it must be good for you.

Good friend of mine had one come out of his gall bladder and block his bile duct a few weeks ago.. They took it out with some contraption through his mouth. Surgery to remove his gall bladder is in a few weeks.

Turned out to be one stone that could never get down the bile track. Had it removed with much relief.

One warning! After the operation do not pass gas. Like I mean really do not.

Gallstones are not somethign to be taken lightly.

One day one could simply loosen up and get stuck in the bile duct, thereby plugging your gall bladder. Your gall bladder can then explode. Yes, explode.

People DIE from gall stones.

So, trying a home remedy to flush out a stone is outright stupid.

You have two choices:

1. Do nothing, something and MAYBE one Saturday night on a long weekend when all the good surgeons are at the cottage, have a stone plug your n=bile duct. If you recognize it fast enough and get tot he hospital and they find someone to operate on you (at this point there is NO, NONE, NADA , ZIP, ZILCH options other than "open" surgery.) BIG scar and weeks of recuperaation from major abdomininal surgery. And the very real risk of abdominal complications (including death) from the rupture.

Or maybe you die of old age, getging run over by a bus, or best of all-by the hand of a jealous husband before the gall stones ever loosen up.

2. You get an appointment at your convenience for laparoscopic surgery to remove the gall bladder before you ever get an attack.

This is called a laparascopic cholestomy. Although you do go under general anesthetic it is a really simple low impact procedure. They cut a few holes in your belly, belly button, inflate your belly with air, and using a fiber optic camera, some needle nose pliers they take the gall bladder out of these little holes. A stitch or two on each of the three or four slits.

It is sometimes just day surgery but you might spend a night if the operation is late in the day.

You will be up and around the next day and back to normal within a week.

I decided on #2 many years ago!
With all due respect your advice is idiotic. Remove an organ as a preventative measure........your a malpractice suit waiting to happen if you are an MD.
The flush is fine, its been done by thousands of people, with no serious effects, other than moderate stomach pain for a day or two after. You have to follow the procedures correctly though. I am thinking of doing the liver and gall bladder flush but for sure will be doing the colon cleanse first. I suggest you do the same. I have had two gall bladder attacks but they couldn't find any gall stones. Most likely disintegrated in the bile duct. Some of the most intense pain one could ever feel

Relaying your experiences is fine and all, but to play up a person's insecurities and inexperience is going a bit too far, must you be so melodramatic(all the good surgeons taking the same weekend off to go to the cottage, must be one really big cottage!!)

The LC procedure is one of the most common procedures today, the doctor who performed it on a family member of mine said that he had done over a thousand of those procedures. This brings me to my next point, when that family member had the LC done, a stone loosened up and lodged within the bile duct. After a couple weeks, enough bile had accumulated and caused them to go into septic shock. Fortunately, we got them to the hospital in time for the doctors to save their life, it was touch and go for the 12 or so hours, but thankfully everything worked out.

The most common flush that I've seen is the Apple juice/Olive Oil flush and people do report good results from it (including 2 other members of my family), but I would suggest that you have an endoscopy done after you go through with the flush, for 2 reasons.. 1) to see if it really work, as the particles that you see from the flush might be the result of the AJ and OO coagulating and 2) if it did work, to make sure that all the stones are gone and not lodging somewhere where they shouldn't be.

The best thing to do is watch your diet and live healthier earlier on in life. The Gall stones can kill you, but surgery isn't always the best option either..

I appreciate all opinions. I am not scared, just frightend out of my mind to go under the knife. Removing gallstones includes removing the gallbladder and it does not guarantee that all gallstones get removed or that they don't come back.

That's why I'd rather try the natural way. I will ask the doctor if he can tell from the ultra sound HOW BIG THEY ARE. I read that some flushers flush out up to 2000 stones over a period of time.

Yes I am watching my diet but that currently consists of: rice, boiled carrots and bananas.

So has anybody here actually done the FLUSH?
