I just got this great phone last week after 3 years with an Iphone, now I was trying to download Flash Player 11 but it seems to be having problems, does it work with the phone? is there a trick? I have tried Youtube and Google but all I get is 12 year olds going off on a tangent about something else or dudes with computer science degrees using technical language that only the "cool kids" understand.

Yeah, like the 5 hours I spent trying to sync my iphone with itunes when I first got it.
Every technology has issues. I believe apple even has a support section on their website.

As for actually helping you scouser, I'm sorry I don't have that phone so I'm not familiar with it. But check out the forums on XDA-developers.com for your phone. The answer will almost certainly be there.

According to Adobe the Galaxy S3 is supported as long as you have version 4.0.x installed......so Ice Cream Sandwich is supported! sadly no official support for 4.1 Jellybean but flash can still be side loaded

Google PLay store link https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5hZG9iZS5mbGFzaHBsYXllciJd
disclaimer on the page:
*** NOTE: FLASH PLAYER IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED FOR NEW DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS. FLASH PLAYER WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED ON ANY ANDROID VERSION BEYOND ANDROID 4.0.x ***
While Flash Player remains on Google Play for installation on Android devices that are certified by the manufacturer, installing Flash Player on an uncertified device may result in unexpected behavior and can potentially destabilize your device. A list of certified devices can be found at http://www.adobe.com/go/certifieddevices. Flash Player WILL NOT be supported on any device shipped with or upgraded to an Android version beyond Android 4.0.x

Going to Adobes support page you can clearly see the S3 is supported so perhaps the carrier is blocking it?

I did and when I open up the app it just goes to a black browser screen with the address being at settings.
Well...what do you actually expect flash player to do? It is a web based app. If you can play flash content on your browser then it's installed..

I wanted to watch streaming movies off of sites like Let Me Watch This, and every time I go to watch a link it says you need to install Flash Player.

What browser does the S3 use? If it's using chrome, that does not support flash.

Like everything in life there are trade offs. Nothing will ever be perfect. Certainly when it comes to having consistency ios has the advantage. But there are trade offs on the flip side for having that. It's a bit silly to make such a blanket statement based on one negative attribute. There's certainly things I preferred on my iphone but if I were to make a pro/con checklist the android pro list would be a fair bit bigger than the iphone one.
