KITCHENER - Waterloo regional police cracked down on sex trade workers and their customers this week, arresting 14 people in downtown Kitchener.

Six women, between 20 and 45 years old, were charged with communicating for the purpose of prostitution. They were all from Waterloo Region.

Seven men, between the ages of 36 and 73, were also arrested and charged with the same offence.

Six of these men were from Waterloo Region and one from Guelph.

The arrests occurred overnight Tuesday.
