I know theres another thread about furnaces but I need some advice.

My home is about 1900 sq ft and nobody had done any load calculations. My current furnace outputs 90K btu and the contractors say its too big. Most out them are saying 80k or 60k. Thats quite a drop in BTUs. even at 90 - 95 percent effiency, the new one would be either 72k or 76k for the 80k , 54k or 57k. Another option would be a 75k unit. I don't know what to do.

60-80 is right. My house is an old brick house. New windows though. Had a 100 K btu furnace and my new high efficiency one is 70 K btu and it's over kill. If I do an addition it will be perfect. For your house 60-80 K btu is MORE than enough.
Check out airmakers.ca
They have a chart for toronto area houses.
Stay with a residential contractors. A commercial contractor will over size u and cause u trouble.

There are a couple additional points to consider: how well insulated is your home? If it's poorly insulated, you'll need a higher capacity than if it's well-insulated. And how exposed are your walls to the elements? If your home is surrounded by trees, terrain, or neighbours that will afford some insulation from winter winds versus a home in an open field facing into the wind.

Call cozy world or airmakers.ca.
Also check homestars.ca for other contractors. But the first two I mentioned r both top rate. I've just gone through this. Used cozy world. They were awesome.
