FTA (Free to Air) Satellite - Fairchild TV

Anyone using FTA satellites.

Can you check if Fairchild TV is available in the clear and how I can get it.

It's the chinese channel on Rogers 36.

If so, where can I pick up an FTA receiver in Toronto? I already have a Directv dish so I just need the receiver.

Beaware that these day's so many channels are completely blocked on FTA Satelite and hardly we get few since last nearly 2-months, so its not worth
wait till a new box arrives, as presently the box available in open market is bit costly between 650~700 C.$'s through that you can watch many channels & it also repairs automtically when the channels are zapped by Dish Net-work as currently we have to wait till the new file or fix appears and then we re-load it to resume the transmission of just few channels.

Reminds me of the old Directv football cards. Had to glitch the damn things about every day to load the new code on the cards. After they trashed the old HU data stream I gave up on that one but it was fun getting all the directtv for free for 5 years.

Ok, so i will forget about FTA. First I looked into it and your info sounds like I should forget it, at least for now. I was trying to avoid being ripped by Rogers for the Fairchild Tv.

There was a recent thread about this. There was some dude that had a FTA that used subscription sharing over of the internet. You might want to try to find the thread.

If the station you are looking for is a Rogers specialty station you might not find it on satellite.
