Clinton goes nuts on a Fox News reporter for asking a biased question. It starts around the 5min mark so just fast forward. Clinton totally looses his cool and it's so incredibly fun to watch the Fox News weasel squirm in his seat while being lambasted by one of the most influential men in the world.

If you ever want to debate the quality of Fox News programming this is a prime example of how it's tabloid news trash. Most networks would be embarrassed by having an ex president rip into a news anchor for asking a dumb question. But not Fox, they show it in its entirety (wait, they probably edited out some stuff to make Clinton look bad) and use as a tool to show how Clinton lost it's cool. Like Cinton says in the clip, "Have you ever asked anyone in the Bush administration the same question?"

Fair and Balanced? yea... sure

"I'm not saying that you, Bill Clinton, is a piece of shit who got to third base with Osama bin Laden and actually WANTED him to attack America, I'm just saying that is what some people are saying!"

No wonder the guy got mad - he was asked to do an interview and refused, then Fox comes back and says it's about his work in Africa and then they spring this question.

Ohhh...that explains the white heat. I didn't hear that part. No wonder he went ballistic. The Fox interviewer will remember that interview for the rest of his life.. he looked like a little sappling bending with a class 5 tropical storm.

When Clinton commented on the reporters smirk, you could see fear in that guys eyes. I think he'll always regret baiting Clinton like that. I mean I would love to see Bush getting baited, which you do sometimes in the international press arena. I'd like to see Bush go off on a rant and end up spilling the beans on something.

While many of you know I am not a Clinton fan. I will say that President Clinton handled himself well in that interview. I am the opinion that were the question psed a seperate questions and not in a accusatory fashion, Clinton would have answered each one in turn.

The first mistake Chris Wallace made was, asking the question as if the viewers wanted to know. He would have had more credibility if he asked that question as if he wanted to know. It could have been a Barbara Walters moment if he did it right.

Why would Fox News get Chris Wallace to do that interview anyway?

Bill Clinton did well, but why is he the only Democrat that can handle the Republicans?

I am by no means an expert on body language...but if he didn't look like a kid caught with his hands in cookie jar, then I don't know what to think.
He never looked straight in to the camera and his eyes were blinking constantly, and the fact that the "Slickmeister" has lost his cool speaks volumes to me.
He is just another one in a long line of crooks. I think we need a revolution, just like Jefferson suggested. It's time to weed out the inbreds from Washington.

Anyways it doesn't really matter because they (Bush and friends) have managed to piss off the one man in the US that can make people understand complicated issues . . .
I did not have sexual relations with that woman. I understood that perfectly.

Clinton should just admit that he didnt get Bin Laden when he had the chance. Stop blaming other people for a mistake. And please dont whine that Bush didnt do anything for 8 months. He had the best chance(s) to get him and he failed.

I wan't aware that Clinton was blaming others for the fact that his attempts to assassinate OBL failed. Where did you see this? I think you're deliberately trying to bend Clinton's statements into excuses which they clearly are not. Clinton is simply pointing out that he took the CIA intelligence and warnings about AQ / OBL seriously enough to order a cruise missile strike against him. Bush had similar warnings and intelligence about AQ / OBL but he was asleep at the switch and did SFA.

Moreover, according to a 9/11 Commission member seen on CNN last night, they had an investigative meeting with Bush (who insisted Cheney be present), and when he put the question to him, after explaining that Clinton's admin had made it an official policy to hold the taliban accountable IF it was proven that Bin Laden was connected to the Cole bombing, (as it indeed was in Dec. 2000) "Why Mr. President, did you not attack the Taliban as a result of the proven Bin laden link to the Cole attack in Dec 2000?" the President's reply was, "He didn't know anything about it."(the policy)

Imagine him not knowing anything about it. Proof that briefs from the new President's number one counter terrorist expert Richard Clarke, were not even being read by Bush.

Read Richard Clarke's book.

Clarke was the one that apologized to the 9/11 families
when he took the stand and testified before the 9/11
Commmission.

Both he and Clinton apologized for their mishandling
of the event.

When is Bush going to apologize for not nailing OBL?

I don't favor either POTUS. Nor do I heap a lot of
blame on either. Simple fact is that the interworkings
between the various agencies [Defense, CIA, FBI, etc]
was and probably still is disfunctional.

Wait. Read Ray Mcgovern on the subject. The Bush administration shaped intel to suit policy, not the other way around. And how? Cheney running back and forth everyday to the CIA, moulding the story to suit.

If you listened to what he said, he's attempting to shift the blame. He had plenty of opportunity to nail OBL and failed. Thats the bottom line. Sure, Bush didnt anything for his 8 mths. That is irrelevant to the hard fact that he failed to get OBL. Seeing Clinton so defensive was disgraceful. Again, he should accept the blame and admit it his failure. Richard Clarke was more honourable. At least he clearl admitted the entire failure.

Clinton knew exactly what he was doing when agreed to the interview, as Bill Kristol pointed out in one of his columns. He's not an idiot--he knew Wallace would spring it on him (FOX after all), and he found a great way to rally the Dems and give a boost to Hillary, while she floats above the fray.

Clinton is a very smart man, and he knew his histrionics would play all over the media and blogosphere, and put heat on the Bush Admin. Though Clarke is critical of Clinton at times, Clinton knows that Clarke's rep cannot be sullied, so he's using that as a battering ram.

It's great to see Clinton pissed again. Lately he's been a little too Dalai Lama for me, though I applaud his work, which is truly amazing. You know Bush will never do such work.
