Here and there
They're about 35 miles apart, connected by an expressway. And if you're flying in, you'll probably arrive at the airport in Arlington, which is about halfway between the two.

If you get to Daley Plaza, you may want to check out the JFK museum, located right in the (former) Texas Book Depository building. Much more to see and do in Dallas, but Ft. Worth does have sort of a "homey" charm. There's a highway leading northwest from Ft. Worth that at one time boasted Texas' most legendary bars and road houses. But there's very little evidence of it now...

Have fun !

Fort Worth Fun

Hi

I spent a month or so on project in Ft Worth in 2002.

"The Stockyards" are worth seeing -- while somewhat touristy, this old part of the city was the gathering place for thousands of cattle heading up the Chisholm trail to the cities of the north.

You'll see locals playing rodeo, the same as we play hockey.

Ft Worth is a little slower paced, and proud of it! You'll see T-shirts with sayings like "Life is too short to live in Dallas". Lots of little saloons (pubs) with friendly locals. Just ask, and they'll tell you what's going on where -- I did check out a local dance club that seemed like I'd stepped into the "White Horse Saloon" on CMT!

Too Far North
Radio Shack US's corporate head office is there. Not sure if anyone in that building has been with a woman, but I'm sure there's plenty who'd like to try!

Kara,

I go there often on business. A must is to go to the Fort Worth Stockyards. A famous U.S. wild west section-a throwback to the old west but with current day "cowboy" environment as well. Lots of good steak and barbecue restaurants in the Stockyards as well. It covers many blocks. And a must is to go to:
"Billy Bob's Texas" gthe worlds biggest western honkey tonk-it's huge and lots of country music and dancing going on as well as indoor live rodeo. You might just catch a famous contry and western star playing there as well. Have fun-Texas is cool!!
