Seems like Doug Ford won the election for PC Leader yesterday. What does that mean now? Can he bring the PCs back together to maybe unseat Wynne. Or is it too late.

The PC's snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I'll vote for anyone but Doug The Useless Thug, I don't want the Ontario government to turn into a freak show.

The Ontario Liberals deserve to be ousted, but not if it means Ford as Premiere.

I know a few people who live in Toronto that liked Rob as mayor - the results were good. Unfortunately all the BS sideshow stuff took away from his accomplishments. I think Doug is better in the sense that he hasn't had any of his private misdeeds aired out in public. If he has as much support as he supposedly has in Toronto, there is a chance against Wynne. The smartest thing any non-Liberal can do is keep their mouths shut and just highlight the Liberal record which has just been God-awful.

Ford would not have been my first choice but Im going to support him because anything has got to be better than Wynn and her band of socialist thieves.

Doug Ford was the most likely PC candidate to challenge the Liberal Premier's grip on Toronto since Ford Nation is well known here in Toronto which is advantageous because June 7 is just around the corner. The legacy of Rob Ford will also be a factor with the swing vote. Ford Nation's win has elements of Trump entering the GOP, a place where he was not liked or welcomed, was a populist outsider yet carried the party to victory.

He was accused of operating a "hash" ring and he didn't sue the accusers or the media like Patrick Brown did.
Not to mention his alleged bad management of the family business.

The conservatives have now proven themselves to be the Party of Kooky Right Wing Extremists. The party has been hijacked. The devastating defeat they are about to experience will either give them a chance to reorganize themselves into a credible party or they will fade away. The upcoming election is lost to them. The future is very probably lost to them.

I was all set to vote PC.

I can't stand Kathleen Wynne, I think she is fiscally reckless.

But I can't in good conscience vote for Doug Ford. He is a primate and he is not fit to be Premiere of Ontario. I can't believe that he beat Elliot. I just can't believe it. What kind of fools are in the PC party of Ontario.

In Ontario, we now have 3 fools to vote for and it's so disheartening, it isn't funny. How could anyone vote to nominate Doug Ford?

Ford will be better than Liberal Christine!
Sigh.

It's that kind of thinking that just blew the election for the Conservatives. Ford will be a disaster for Ontario because frankly he's not that bright (as he demonstrated time and time again), he has no plan I'm sure, he is thin skinned (like his brother and like Trump) and he thinks that he will just rule by decree. The world according to Doug Ford.

The PCs had the election in the bag and by nominating a primate, they just blew it.

I was all ready and set to vote for the PCs but there's no way I could vote for this putz. Wynne is a disaster, the NDP are deluded, but this guy is an absolute moron.
