Bye Bye Del Duca even NDP lost votes this time around

Ontario PC leader Doug Ford wins 2022 election

Ontario PC leader Doug Ford will remain the province’s premier, CTV News projects.

Ford’s PCs are elected or leading in 22 of 124 ridings.

The NDP appears to be in second while the Liberals are in third.

The incumbent for Etobicoke North ran a cautious “front-runner” campaign, holding few events where reporters could ask him questions and declining numerous requests for one-on-one interviews.

Instead, the 57-year-old held grand indoor rallies with supporters and large outdoor photo opportunities highlighting his party’s promises on infrastructure such as Highway 413.

Ford led in most polls during the campaign, with several this week putting him more than 10 per cent ahead of the Liberals and even farther ahead of the NDP.

His party promised to build a still un-costed highway linking York, Peel and Halton regions, devote up to $40 billion over 10 years to hospital construction and redevelopment, eliminate provincial income taxes on a wider swath of lower income workers and permanently eliminate licence plate sticker fees.

Horvath too. Looks like it could be a ten seat loss for the NDP. That requires a resignation after four attempts.
They offered nothing; so little in fact, that even someone like Doug wiped the floor with them. Maybe the NDP can wake up and remember why they came to be, but I doubt it.

Ford won because

1, he came to the middle
2. he actually took covid serious
3. he worked well with Justin and the Federal LIBERAL government

he was actually able to gain the vote of the people in the middle of left and right. The original version of the pre covid Doug would have had his hat handed to him.

ps....I voted for Ford myself. What is amazing is the same righties freaking out calling Doug a tyrant for the lockdowns now are all happy and jumping for joy LMAO.

'We are done with it:' Doug Ford says Ontario is moving on from COVID-19

Seems Premier Ford is done with lockdowns and infringing on personal liberties and freedoms. And Ontarians are backing him all the way.

You nailed it perfectly ;)

Ford is still capable of consensus and team playing. Even with other parties. Most people are sane and recognized that.

Perhaps because Ommicron is lighter and most were vaxxed but hey, let whatever malarky you believe in and makes you sleep better at night. Remember, all Ontario lockdowns and Provincial vaccine mandates were brought to you by DOUG. The Covid Tyrant, remember LMAO

These are still early hours but the electoral map of Ontario is almost entirely blue except in downtown Toronto.

The Conservatives carried the 905, the most racially diverse area in Canada. All 5 seats in Brampton went blue. The Conservatives is the party of visible minorities.

Liberals are starting to see the error of their ways and rejecting their progressive brethren and jumping ship, lol.

Will they even get enough seats to have an official party status?

Here is the electoral map. The GTA, the most racially/ethnically diverse area in the world is virtually entirely blue. If the lefties are smart, they will stop falsely accusing Conservatives of being a bunch of racists white supremacists.

say goodbye to health care, now that pandemic is moving to the endemic phase. OHIP won't cover eye exams, more cuts to come, cancer screening, etc.
Health care cuts and education cuts.
But we'll get a new highway to nowhere to go with the $2 billion Scarborough subway stop.

No, doesn't look like it.
They have been weighed, they have been measured, and they have been found wanting AGAIN!
