Damn.. I do not get a big amount for Massages from my work.. but I do get some...I should try this out now lolcalloway said:I went to Lotus Spa when it first opened and posted a review. One of the three ladies is apparently a RMT. She happens to be the least attractive one there... but I guess she's a RMT. It wouldn't surprise me to see the RMT do the actual massage and then another attendant comes in to finish the task at hand. I don't know this for sure... but I don't see any other possible way around her licensing. My first visit was enjoyable and yet quite surprising... but I never knew about the tax receipt option in order to ask for one.
Spoke to the MPA there today about receipts. She said every one hired there is registered and has their own number on the receipt issued along with the business GST#. Only thing is you need to put your real name down on the receipt in case insurance company calls them or something like that (small price to pay for a free massage basically). Anyhow, it appears very legit and Asian to boot!calloway said:I went to Lotus Spa when it first opened and posted a review. One of the three ladies is apparently a RMT. Maybe... but registered in what?Jimmy C said:She said every one hired there is registered
Will do sir. BTW only the timed portion of the session is covered. Tipping seems to be separate.calloway said:Maybe... but registered in what?
Next time you're in... ask for some verfication and then ask whether some or all of the session fees are covered.

Maybe it is just as well. Imagine a scenario where this spa has some form of legal problems - it happens lots in this industry; Some peace officer says something to friends or neighbors working at an insurance company; the insurance company starts investigating; your wife answers the phone when the insurance company calls to ask questions about the RMT massage you got at a rub and tug.Dugath said:I did not do the receipt thing..
Mine already took it so I'm working on my half now. I'm going back (obviously) and asking if we can just leave our first name and fill out the rest ourselves.akizagor said:Maybe it is just as well. For my money, it is worth it to pay out of my own pocket, 'cause if the wifey finds out and splits (taking half), I won't be able to afford any rub & tug.
