The Macheads got so much to say defending their beloved products and nothing on a simple question about memory? lol

So you already knew the answer, but it's everyone else's fault for taking more than six hours to reply to you?

It just might be nearing time for some serious reflection on social interactions.

It was one of those things that when I saw the link, it hit me as the store/site that I was looking for.
As for the reflection, I do that enough as it is when taking my dogs out for their daily walks in the quietest parts (in the outskirts) of the city. But I appreciate the concern and cynicism. :)

Nice. Ask for help and then insult those you ask for help.

Canada Computers is the best price on MAC memory from the few upgrades I have done for friends. Good luck with your upgrade.

Cheers
Macheads are proud to be called such, or fanboys.
Upgrade is for a gf of mine, since she's snowed in at her dorm this week.

I know you're still holding grudge from previous times in the past, but what's the purpose of having a technology forum if you can just google everything?
I was thinking that maybe perhaps some of you Macheads would have better insight with your own personal dealings with purchasing memory and/or good deals or stores....
You know personal experiences? ;-)

Keep trying dj, I appreciate your effort and I'm flattered. lol

Glad I could be grouchy for you! Cheers!

Carbon Computing if you want someone that knows what they are doing.

Tiger Direct if you want to take your chances.

The Apple store at Sherway does not sell RAM, they directed me to Tiger Direct and the tech there did the memory upgrade on a MacBook just fine.

If you are comfortable doing your own upgrades, check out:

http://www.otherworldcomputing.com/

They have great prices, and tons of different upgrade options for all sorts of Macs. The shipping too Canada wasn't too steep either, from what I remember. Even so, watch out for UPS... the brokerage fees can be brutal depending on the level of shipping you choose.

Typically, I have purchases delivered to http://www.usaddressinc.com and pick them up on my own to take advantage of free shipping within the US, or avoid excessively expensive shipping costs to Canada.

I'm all for supporting local businesses, but I find that with many Mac upgrades, Mac specific stores often charge a premium for a component that would also work in any PC and could be purchased elsewhere for way less money.

I've been a fan of www.ehmac.ca for a while. Lots of help forums and a great classified section as well
