I think the Flyers will beat Ottawa. Despite the first round win, Ottawa is still unproven in the playoffs. I think Ottawa still has an element of self-doubt, because all they did was beat a weak Islanders team that almost got caught by the Rangers in the stretch run for the playoffs. Flyers beat a veteran Leafs team that has been there before.

Flyers in 6. And Donald Brashear knocks out Rob Ray in the first round.

John Muckler has eliminated any self-doubt amoung the Sens.

When was the last time the Flyers advanced to the 2nd round?

Rob Ray probably won't play unless Neil can't.

From my seats in Suite 110A at the Game tonight.....All I can say is Ottawa KICKED ASS!!!! Even Spartacat put the run on one poor-bastard Philly-Fan...what a site...everyone had a laugh.

A question, did they show the guy on the tv with the Maple Leaf jersey that read "nocup4u" on the back? That was funny as hell.

Ottawa creamed Philly tonight an there is no doubt in my mind that Ottawa will cruise through this series and win the Cup this year. No doubt at all!!!!

hey Goober........I'm two for two now :)

BTW, was it me or did the Ref's suck tonight...especially on the goal the one waved off and they had to go upstairs...It was clear from our seats it was a goal and we were 50 feet away..Geez.......maybe it is true that all you need to be an NHL ref is a quarter and a bubblegum machine!

The Real Story

Cechmanek is just a BRUTAL goalie. As Ottawa showed tonight, he can be beaten on a wrap-around because his side-to-side mobility is so poor. Just shows how really SLOW the Leafs are.
Thats 4 goals on 17 shots Cechmanek gave up. Looks like Bobby Clarke and his rare ability to pick goalies.

Both Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks could blow this Flyer team away. Big is good, fast is better, Bertuzzi is best!

Getting prepared to watch tonights game .Another must win situation for the Flyers.I know up 2-0 in first Period, blew lead and lost That sucked.so did Cechmanik,im a little worried about tonights game.Leclair has to step up his game.Hes never looked the same since we lost Lindros. Phillies won today,Millwood pitched a no-hitter,a good omen for Flyer fans. Take care,Rich

Initially, I figured the Flyers would atone for last season's debacle. Now, I'm not so sure. Never thought I'd say this, but, Sens in 5 if they win tonight. Furthermore, had the Leafs advanced, they would have hit the wall with these guys. They're not the play-off patsies of the past anymore. Now they've got the grit to go along with their finesse. Damn.

And, for a change it's nice to see someone making an effort to go to the front of the Flyer net or to see a defense try to clear a Flyer offense from in front of their net. Unlike some **cough** team we all know. But I still see they like to run the goaltender, and it looks like it wouldn't take a lot to get Patrick Lalime rattled.

Either way....I'm cheering Ducks!! Stumpy Thomas has earned the right to lift the cup.

Scubadoo ... where are you?!

Funny ?

Scubadoo was full of vitriol and venom for the Flyers after game one. We haven't heard from him after game 2?

This is going to be a great series that could go either way.

The Sens have great squad with speed , grit and depth. I think they will go to the cup final if they get past the Flyers.

You have to win four out of seven to do that.

Goaltending will be the deciding factor in the series. If the nutty Czech keeps it together I like Philly. If Lalime get's his act together ( he hasn't looked stellar so far ) the Flyers will be hard pressed .

I am from Ottawa and want to pass along a few words to Ottawa fans. Don't start acting like Leaf fans by losing your objectivity. Keep the arrogance down and see your team for what they are. An unproven yet promising playoff contender.

Go Flyers Go!

I snap!

I lose it!

I head-fake him with the President's trophy, and the idiot goes for it!

Straight right, upper-cut and a flurry to the solar-plexus, and he's down.

He's lying on the ice in a heap of shavings, and I say "Hey buddy, is that 'Go Flyers Go' enough for you?"

Ever since, I've been the Champ.

I only have tickets for the odd number home games. I tried to convience Goober that I'm the Sens good luck charm, but he wouldn't listen. Goober and his gang of Sens Bamdwagon Fans have shamed me and therefore I am very bitter about the whole thing.

I will attend the games that I have tickets for ( Game #5 of this series will be my next ), but I must say I am gravely disappointed in the Sens fans that doubt my ability!

Their is no shame in hockey!

Scubadoo,

You should not be ashamed of your passion and support of your team. Ottawa will be a solid team for years. Hossa , Havlat and Alfredson give them the best right side in decades.

Game 5 will be a barnburner! Picture this, the Flyers and Sens battle it out in Philly for games three and four and return to Ottawa tied at 2-2 . Game 5 is the turning point of the series. It'll be a war !

I can only hope that Romin' Roman can stay off of his keester!! Every time the other team comes over the red line I close one eye and squint at the T.V. ! The guy is a case study in the fragility of the human psyche. I love the Flyers but resent anyone saying that Chechmanek is similar to Hasek. No way !! Hasek was like an artist. You had trouble following his brush strokes but the final painting was always an unorthodox beauty. Roman looks like a six foot three 220 pound developmentally delayed Bamby. It pisses me off to no end how he casually and happily answers questions to reporters like none of his miscues had anything to do with him! I would really hate to be a teammate of his.

Anyhow, my point is that this is what playoff hockey is all about. An unpredictable series that has you thinking about it between games.

GO FLYERS GO!

Flyers looking for a win tonight to extend series to game 7.Game 5 we got swamped.A shutout maybe needed but very unlikely. If Ottawa scores a goal they have always won.Cechmanek doesnt seem to me to be very dependable.AS you can see my confidence level is down. But i will be watching and rooting for a Flyers win.Defense needs to be tough. Thanks,Rich
