one flower is a safe approach - I think she will appreciate it.

don't you go buying a dozen long stem red roses!!!!

Depends on how you know this girl, how long you have been talking, whether you already have a rapport with her, have been talking to her on the phone for a while etc. If so, then a single rose may be fine.

Otherwise, it looks like you are trying too hard. And smacks of desperation. Definitely NO BOUQUET.

Babies breath is used as a filler and accent in Bouquets of flowers....it is a tiny whilte flower that is very full. Makes the presentation look better.

A single flower....would be my choice...but not a Red Rose.

Pink is nice....or go to a florist who has some not so common colours...I like white with pink around the edges.....

This shows you put a little thought and effort into it....

Not all girls ;) White is associated with death in some cultures e.g. Chinese.

Flowers on a first date is definitely a needy thing. Women appreciate it, but it would definitely make you seem like an ordinary chump. You don't want to give her an impression that you are easy and is already in love with her.

I know it is a tradition to give out flowers on a first date, so here is my recommendation: Don't give her those flowers immediately. Spend some time with her first and see what kind of person she is. Make sure she is worthy of those flowers. Then if she is worthy, then give her the flower at the end. (it would be better if someone else deliver the flowers for you)

When I met my ex gf, we hung out casually for about a week before going on our first official date. I gave her one rose and she seemed genuinely appreciative of the gesture. Of course, it also helped that she was already attracted to me - it took her two and a half hours to get ready and when I picked her up, she was dressed to the nines, looking like she had just stepped from the pages of a fashion magazine. When a girl goes through that much effort to look good, you know she's into you.

You want to go with something different, go to a florist have them make a nice bouquet, something with tulips or lilies...NO roses..too common, you want her to feel special on the fist date...
So you suggest the satin handcuffs?
