Police say a Florida man asking if a bulletproof vest "still worked" was fatally shot by his cousin.

A Tampa police report says Joaquin Mendez, 23, put on the vest late Saturday and "wondered aloud whether it still worked."

Police say his cousin, Alexandro Garibaldi, 24, pulled out a gun and responded, "Let's see."

I don't know if it is the same Alexandro Garibaldi as this time, but back in 2009 a 17 year old in Tampa with the same name was a suspect in a murder.

Dam my Kevlar protection is over 20 years, Good to know its near useless except as a Halloween outfit.

Depends what was the rated level of the protection, lowest level only stops .22 rounds, highest stops rifle rounds.
