According to a report on the HockeyRefs.com website, The Giants forward was given a game misconduct and match penalty for firing a puck at referee Mike Hicks in the final minute of Basingstoke's 4-1 victory. The puck reportedly missed the referee's head by inches. WAY TO GO FLEURY!!!!!

All the shagging in the world isn't going to help him get over the issues he's been running form the past 20 years. The man is a ticking time bomb.

Many other people have to juggle their recovery from abuse with a regular job and obligations. Fleury has been a multi-milionaire for 15 years, and he has a huge network of millionaire friends. He has all the time in the world to devote to therapy.

Of course you want to cut some slack to a person with his problems, but some point he has to be held responsible for at least making more than a half assed effort to help himself, seeing as he's in a better position to do so than 99.9% of other people who were abused as teens.

it's his life - he knows he needs help - but if he wants to do what he is doing then its up to him!!! - if he goes at 40 years of age - then he goes!!!!

That would be one form of therapy worth investigating. But he has to be sober enough not to botch it and end up like Danton. He's certainly got the money to orchestrate a private enough encounter.

What a waste of a player. I have very little sympathy for pro athletes who have been coddled since they were wee kids and not punished early enough for bad behavior. These guys have been getting preferential treatment from everybody and if they decide to abuse themselves -well, no tears here.

Grow up, man up and get on with it.

Good point.... it's time for Fleury to admit that he was also abused by Graham James..
