Been using the beta version of FF3 for a couple months with linux.
It's nice but I still prefer Opera over FF.

Firefox 3: now available bug-free, say devs

Mozilla is claiming the second release candidate of Firefox 3.0 is free of bugs.

There may be problems with software on the server side or websites but the browser itself has had 10 problems fixed with the second release candidate (RC2), made available yesterday. By bugs developers mean issues that they are aware of rather than every single problem with the application.

RC2 is meant for developers and enthusiasts to test before the final release in the next week or so. The new browser is meant to be quicker and easier to use and personalise.

Mozilla is aiming to set a new record for most software downloads within 24 hours with the final release of Firefox 3.0. It is aiming for 1.6m downloads in a day.

Download Day will be some time in mid-June - Mozilla said it wants about a week after releasing the final candidate to check there are no major problems.

Firefox has just under 20 per cent of the total browser market. ®

Anyone know how to clear the ´awesome´ bar history? This doesn´t seem to be control by the Clear Private Data options.
