Fire, downtown Barrie

A fire in downtown Barrie took out the entire building on the NW corner of five points (Dunlop and Bayfield). the building west of it isn't in such good shape either. my heart goes out to anyone who lived there (one person in particular comes to mind). I hope it doesn't add too big a speed bump in their road of life and that they bounce back quickly. (and if they need a bed to sleep in for the next while, ;-).

You'll get lots of opportunity to hear about it and see it on the news, I am sure.

Way back in the dark ages, when I was a young Lad, most of the downtown was destroyed in a large fire. It was a big deal for a town of abot 18000 people.


Damn, I feel old now.
