Everyone that i deal with in the manufacturing industries will tell me that sale have been slowly shrinking over the last six months. even though Ontario only has some thing like 17% of the job in manufacturing now and another 5% are in the construction field I think it is still a very important sector of our economy and with well paying job in this field going the way of the do-do there is going to be less tax and disposable income to be spent in the other areas of the economies. The purchasing of new machinery is down even though now is the cheapest it has ever been to borough money, inventories are on the increase, not because methods are better just because sales and exports are down.My industry tends to be one of the first into a slow down and one of the first out, the slow down started just after the new years and has not picked up yet.
