Germany.........

I think Germany will be the champions this year. They are going to put up another Berlin wall that the Brazilians won't be able to penetrate. They have a better balanced team as far as I can see. The Brazilians depend too much on individual talent and I think this "might" be their downfall. Also, Brazil's defence is not particularly strong,
remember Costa Rica and how often they penetrated into the goal area, but failed to capitalize?!

Anyway, no doubt Brazil will score at least a couple of times so I predict:

Brazil 2 Germany 3 maybe more

Now all of us soccer fans let's hope for a great performance
from these two soccer aristocrats!

can't watch the finals without having posted a prediction....

Brazil - 1
Germany - 1

Germany wins PK: 5-3

- well, at least the PK scenario has been covered.

- anyone out there predicting a Golden Goal to win it all?

penalties...

I assume that if Germany wins on penalties, the newly appointed Kanzler Rudi will give the trophy to Ollie Kahn to keep on his bedside table?

Bear in mind this is a poor german side who haven't played against any top team on the way to the finals. Brazil will make them look silly.

Honest.;)

I had already considered...........

I had already considered the fact that Ballack won't be playing in the final. However, Ronaldo most likely won't be a 100 % either, and if he does play it will be for show, maybe for the fans and a bit for the teams morale. Kind of like Zidane on France's last match. Ronaldo has a tendancy to do this, remember the last World Cup?

The goal scorers for Brazil will be Ronaldinho, followed by Rivaldo or Roberto Carlos, although I think Roberto Carlos will stick to mid-field since he's pretty good at it.

The biggest factor in this game will be the "Berlin Wall,"
himself, Mr. Oliver Kahn ( or Khan, I really don't know the correct spelling ) who has only given up one goal throughout
the tournament. I think Brazil will be able to cross over the wall at least twice.

This said, Germany has a very technical, team based style of play, which will make them harder to keep under control with Brazil's defence. They also have some good strikers besides Ballack and totally dominate midfield. Also they have a tendancy to attack from the sides, and then throw the center
which is where Brazil's downfall will be.

Oh shit! I should start my own soccer column somewhere eh guys? lol:)
