When I was 15 I would have LOVED to have scored with an older woman. Loved to have. It never happened. Not even close. Hell, not even remote.
They crossed a line no doubt. To me, that line would be more given it was a teacher / student affair than a 30 year old / 17 year old. They should have known better.
Unless some of them were having sex with a kid under 16 I don't think jail time is warranted however. (I'm sure the American judicial system would disagree with me though.)
They are all also very stupid. Kids can't keep their mouthes shut. They tell their friends, their friends tell their friends, word travels quick. (Ask any High School teacher and they will tell you that kids always get caught because they blab.) Bad decision making all round.

P.P.S. incorrect to say this, of course, but where exactly is the harm? How is a normal 16yo boy harmed by shagging his 30yo teacher, at her invitation? Sure, it's an abuse of trust on her part, yahda yahda. But, assuming it's consensual, or even loving, where actually is the harm?
I have always wondered that. I wonder if any psychological study has been done on this sort of stuff vs getting abused by a priest or hockey coach. In those cases there was clearly harm. Those also happened at a younger age as most 16 year old male hockey players can probably beat their coach to a pulp. I have also wondered about comparing young males who were seduced by their teacher vs young women who were also seduced by a male teacher. Is there a list for male teachers?

No, I was not scarred by these events. It was a little confusing for a young boy to understand these things. There was also a big breasted 10 year old girl that use to like to steal my hat and tease me.
