Did you read that article? The one study it links goes to a broken page. A second study was self-reported by the workers working at home (I'm sure that's an unbiased sample). A third study actually stated that working at home on boring tasks actually made people LESS productive than in the office, though again without the linked data it's useless information. Then it lists some benefits to the worker that has nothing to do with productivity.

Please link to actual DATA compiled by an entity that doesn't have a vested interest, that shows productivity is improved by working at home.

Have you guys tried to bring back a middle-income salary to come back to the office?

We had 6 in our office before covid.
One responded she was not coming back from Panama after all. So she offered us to quit or continue from there.
2 responded they had bought houses way too far to commute.
2 said just no. And told us to deal with it ;)
1 said she would rather go turning pizza at her husband's local pizzeria than commuting to the office. She said she would would make about 15k less per year but not spend anything or gas, food, parking and extra clothing and much less stress.

We kept WFH for all and we are now selling the building ;)

Forget it guys full time office work of anything you can do remotely is dead.

In the next few years, the bank will lose about a trillion on their commercial loan position. But they don`t care we live in a socialist states so of course they know we will bail them out.

I don't understand why all the hostility towards remote work, it's more efficient, saves energy, and people are more productive and happier
This is just the constant slander of civil servants. They are always painted as lazy and overpaid. Is it true? Sure, there likely some lazy ass wipes on the public payroll. But I'll point out, call times to the CRA probably haven't changed since pre-covid. I recall being on hold for a very long time. Is it because they are lazy or because they don't have enough agents to answer the phone?

As for working from home, I think it is great if you can do it. There will obviously be groups who need to be on site, but why force people when they don't need too?

Now, that being said, I prefer a hybrid work environment, where you can either go in or stay home. But commuting when there really isn't a need is ridiculous...

All those working from home should understand that their job has just opened up to anyone, anywhere, in the world. So, be sure to bring something to the table that can't be easily replaced.
