There was a thread about "Friends" going off the air...seen a few episodes but didn't really like it...too bland.

I'm more partial to some of the British comedies so..to start it off..name your 3 favourite British comedies.
I'll start...

1) "I'm Alan Partridge"-first series is my all-time fav
2) of course, "The Office"
3) and "Fawlty Towers"

Honourable Mention:

1) Phoenix Nights-hilarious pub culture comedy

The Vegetative State
Black Adder. Screw Mr. Bean, this is Rowan Atkinson at his best.

And while it's not strictly British, Father Ted (Irish) is hilarious.

Because I am a political animal I always loved Yes, Minister and Yes Prime Minister and Drunkie you are correct, Bean in BlackAdder is Atkinson at his best.

I think their names were "Rick" and "Mike" respectively. I second The Young Ones, but I haven't seen it in a while.

Alexei Sayle, now that you bring it up, was @*&%!$-ing hilarious when he had his own show. I really miss that show a whole lot, if I found it on DVD I'd buy it.

Other favourites: Black Adder, Bottom, Monty Python.

The Office is great.

Anyone remember "The Brittas Empire" - not as dark as the office, but quite funny as I recall.
