Fav Sci Fi Movies

I searched and couldn't find a thread about this topic previously, so I'm starting a new one.
What are your all time fav sci fi movies?

Mine are Alien, Aliens, Terminator, The Time Machine and The Day the Earth Stood Still. I'm sure i am forgetting a few though.

The new Star Trek movie.

The Thing (1982) with Kurt Russell.

and I heartly agree about The Blob with Steve McQueen.

Oh, as far as Sci-Fi/Horror goes I saw my first real horror film when I was about 9 years old, it was called "The H-Man". Black and white about a Japanese ship that is attacked by a gelatinous radioactive muck. Not particularly good, but then I had nothing to compare it to back then (1968).

Good ones! I was particularily impressed with Children of Men. It was a great movie, but i'm not sure i would classify it as sci-fi. It's just a movie about the world in the future.
