Father's Day

My daughter took me to Hooter's once ... although it wasn't for Father's Day, I thought it was pretty cool that a loving daughter believed that this would be something her single dad would enjoy!! For Father's Day this year my slightly underage son suggested we find a nice beer patio for a cold one on Father's Day. I think we'll use the backyard patio until he is of age. Happy Father's Day to all.
My son the Chef ..has a 2.756lb top sirloin marinating in the fridge....he will be over in a few hours to cook it up on the BBQ.....

My daughter and I had a fight about 2 months ago and we haven't talked since. So yesterday she called to wish me happy fathers day and and the subject of her university housing came up and how she didnt have the money for her rent. So now I understand the reason for the call. Gotta luv kids
That post about not talking for two months........ My cousin and her husband have not talked to their daughter for 10 years. And over something really, really stupid - You won't believe how stupid and trivial - every parent endures much, much worse. Anyway I am sad to say she has tried reaching out to her parents - everyone has - and the sad truth is this will be a life long thing. Their daughter is so nice - it is too bad.
