"Fascist Bush! You are the terrorist!"

These were the chants that greeted the Shrub on his trip to Argentina.
Seems like the good people of Argentina are onto something.
The Shrub got quite a welcoming down there. It could get nasty and the Shrub could be in for a 'bushwacking' if his 'large security detail' runs into trouble.

Summit Protests Turn Violent in Argentina

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina - More than 1,000 demonstrators angry about
President Bush's policies clashed with police, shattered storefronts and torched businesses Friday, marring the inauguration of the Summit of the Americas as leaders began debating creation of one of the world's largest free trade zones.

The chaos reflected the often violent, worldwide debate on free trade as the United States and Mexico pushed to relaunch talks on a zone stretching from Canada to Chile. Past summits on the issue — including last year's gathering of Asian-Pacific leaders in Chile — have drawn bitter opposition and similarly angry protests.

He'll fix things. My guess he'll cut them a check for about six to eight billion for something. Why that much. I dunno; but, neither does he. Wonder where all this money comes from? It's like magic. Another question, who actually gets it?

It was their idea to have a NAFTA dispute settlement mechanism,
It was Canada that wanted to dispute settelment mechanism. The U.S. was against it but finally agreed.

So Argentina is looking to distract the public from their economic problems. Sounds kind of familiar.

Bush kept a low profile then left..........

Like in Iraq Dubya got no 'rose petals parade' greetings in Argentina ......

Leaders Fail to Agree on Free Trade Talks.

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina - Leaders from across the Americas ended their tumultuous two-day summit Saturday without agreeing to restart talks on a U.S.-favored free trade zone stretching from Alaska to Chile.

Bush — left during the discussions and put other negotiators in charge.

Security remained tight in Mar del Plata on Saturday. A huge section of downtown was closed off by metal barriers, and police and soldiers toted semiautomatic weapons.

Bush kept a low profile at the meeting and did not speak publicly on Saturday.
