I have a female friend who has found her pics(2) on another site from her facebook profile. It's a dating site. Her pics are not copyrighted and I had read somewhere that Items pasted on Facebook become their property and domain anyhow.Any truth to that?

..I've told her to contact the site and have them taken down but beyond that not sure if she has any legal recourse. This person is not pretending to be her just using her pic.Any information would be helpful.Cheers:)

That may be, but from a lot of profiles that I've seen on there - my friends and their friends - I've seen real phone numbers, email addresses, school names, place of work listed/named on their profiles...tag that along with your ISP and they're groovin' with information. ;)

...oh and don't forget pictures. =)

All of this info is already registered in large database pools anyways and has been for years prior to fb... so we're sharing a little information. when aren't we? i think the benefits outweigh any fears.

Thanks for the info.If this does not work could she not file some type of legal action?(They are bikini pics and she does want them down off the site they are on). They're not trademarked which i think is her biggest hurdle, but would this not be a type of fraud or identity theft?

Was reading article today that some hackers got into facebook and took off game application. If they can do that they can definiately get your info. Facebook is dangerous place since beginning.

What pools have my real name, my phone number, address, my picture, the school I attended, my personal interests?
