I have the PVR/HD receiver.

I wonder if the time it downloads it's updates can be adjusted or customized.

It's factory default is for 3am... I wish it would pop up at an hour when I am NOT watching tv... anyone know how to do this?

advance your time by 3 hours or whatever before it updates..

I don't believe you can advance the time. The time on the unit is set automatically from the satellite. Depending on the time zone which you are in, the clock will set itself accordingly. It also dictates the programming guide times that you see.
