Well no question what the woman said, but it would be nice to hear the whole story. I doubt that gramma coming to visit was the only catalyst. The neighbourhood looks pretty nice not some low income dump. My guess is this is part of the growing trend of parents having their grown kids and their kids move back in. In my neighborhood this is becoming more common. The young families can't buy or rent affordably and the parents homes are where they end up. Suddenly lots of cars and parties where it was quiet, can't get away either. Tends to get people on edge.

Sounds like you are making excuses.

The racist lady also called the young mother a "slut," which is often said to women who have biracial kids and/or black boyfriends.

I called my neighbour all sorts of names after he tried to burn down the neighbourhood...should have kicked his ass but police were there already..and was not a racial issue, but you have to account for the circumstances that have developed in the altercation. Some people just lose it and say all kinds of shit.

No justification for what the woman said, but do post the whole interaction and not just a 9 second clip

Nice ot hear the whole story? What in your mind, would be justification for it? There is no "whole story" which makes that okay. Unless in your world that is rationalized somehow.

There is no justification for racism but in my experience, old people are almost universally racist. The 'whole story' part is why did this woman, who even the girl in the story said had always been polite before, lose her shit and start using racist language, especially towards an innocent baby.

As for calling her a slut, with no other information I refuse to equate that to racism. For all we know the neighbor has been watching a parade of different men arriving at this home at all hours. She has a 6 month old child and possibly no father in the picture? With no details that aspect of the story could be anything. Some people just want to paint everything as racist though.
The picture in the article has the father in it.

And? Does that mean they live together? Does it mean they are a couple? All it means is that she had a photo of her, the father, and the child together. Doesn't mean she doesn't have random guys showing up while the father is at work either, assuming that they do live together and are a couple. No details provided so calling her a slut isn't automatically racist.
It sounds like you're making all these kinds of stereotypical assumptions.

However, I do know that white women who prefer black men are often called sluts. Not to mention a racial comment that was made.

You mean the stereotypical assumption that young fathers tend to avoid their responsibilities? I'm not calling out race, all young men do it.

However, I do know that black men make all kinds of comments to black women who dare to date or marry white guys. My brother was married to a black woman, until the SLUT started cheating on him. Over the course of their relationship I was witness to our black neighbor trying to get her to leave my brother as well as overhearing all kinds of 'private' conversations her family would have about their relationship while at parties and get togethers at their house.

I wonder, is that kind of behavior racist or are they just looking out for one of their own?
I've read that Black families tend to be the most welcoming to other races, as opposed to all other groups.

Black men in Toronto/GTA tend to be more interested in lightskin/exotic looking women or non-black women, as opposed to dark-skinned women. You can find discussions online regarding this topic. All groups have their traditionalists, but local black men don't really care about black women in most cases, especially those who are of Caribbean origin. It's usually black women that complain about black men only wanting sex from them, as opposed to ltr. As a part person whose part black, I have rarely heard any black men caring if anyone dates interracial. I do think those of African origin may be a little more traditionalist though.

Certainly has that optic, though...

Did you read the article?

Mom and Baby live there. Grandmother, who lives alone, came to the house during the stay at home order

Nasty Neighbour starts taking pics of grandmas car. When confront she started calling mom a slut and the baby a N- baby.

What more to the story is needed?

So you admit to using racials slurs? Is that what you are saying?

There are plenty of names to call people. Why choose to use racial ones unless you are racist.

Maybe that is all she got on video. Maybe she only grabbed the phone when her baby was brought into it.

I worked with a unmarried black guy from Jamaica who BRAGGED about how many kids he had here and back home Total of 16 and did not pay support for any of them.

How many you got by the cradle? Big time bragging rights in some circles...
