So this guy was prepared to shoot women in children to protect material possessions that he THOUGHT might be at risk?
No crime had been committed yet, mind you, but by golly he wasn't going to let any of "them" into HIS town.
I mean, we can debate whether or not it is justified to shot a looter. Me, I don't think it is, but hell - thou shall not steal, and besides, if you know the authorities are looking to use deadly force and you loot anyway...well....
But to threaten people...people who you KNOW are suffering...instead of offering some form of assistance....women...children...because they LOOK like the people in the negative images the media put into heavy rotation?
It both sicken my stomach, saddens me beyond words, and angers me beyond reason - all at the same time.
Some one remind me again why I should bother reaching across that fence?
