.......where you start out on the highest high but end on the lowest low? Well, I had one of those days today. Woke up this morning, the sun was shining, the birds were singing. Even my morning commute didn't seem to take as long. Had my performance review in the morning and was told I was doing a great job and told to expect a generous bonus. Even managed to get out of the office early today as I had a long awaited afternoon rendez-vous scheduled with Daphne at Mirage.

Left the office at 1:30pm figuring I had plenty of time to get downtown until I hit a wall of red lights just past the Lawrence exit of the DVP southbound. Oh well, it was only 2pm and my appointment was not until 4pm so no problem right? Well, 2 hours later and I'm crawling on Eglinton W trying to get to Bayview. Ended up calling Chris to cancel. I also cancelled my dinner plans for the evening as I was no longer in the mood to venture further downtown. Finally got home hours later to discover a ding on my car. F**k! Must have been from the truck with the traffic cones that barely managed to squeeze by everyone on the left shoulder as it made it's way to the scene of the accident.

So, instead of having enjoyed an afternoon in Daphne's company and then sharing dinner and drinks with friends on a patio, I find myself sitting in front of my computer with a Big Mac combo. How did a day that started out so right suddenly go so wrong?:(

Ya... I've had days like that... well except for the Big Puke combo anyway... (That will just make it worse!)

Things have a way of going to shit in a real hurray! Try not to let it get you down. Tomorrow is a new day! :)

Let's me see how your day went and please do tell if I missed anything:

- Woke up to nice weather NOT involving the word "MINUS"

- Met with Bosses and was told you were laid off. No sorry! Compliments and the word "BONUS" was used. Correct?

- Didn't spend the ENTIRE bright, sunny day in an office.

- Couldn't see Daphne today but she'll still be there TOMORROW and all the days after that. She'll even be HAPPIER to see you.

- Truck ran into you from behind and totaled your car, damaging your spinal cord and putting you in the hospital. Oh, sorry, got that wrong too. "DING" did you say?

- Having a burger, sharing your thoughts with cyber-buddies in a home that wasn't damaged by nature or vandalized by criminals today. So I gather.

- Also, no mention of a relative being in a fatal car accident or a phone call from your doctor saying that: "Dick, we got to talk".

It seems to me you had a pretty good day.

Hope tomorrow goes the same for you!
