Former Raptor player and star basketball player for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels died on Sunday at the age of 52. By all accounts he was a tremendous individual and id a lot for charity.
The ACC was a powerhouse basketball conference in the early 90's when Montross played. He helped guide the Tar Heels to the 1993 National Championship. Unfortunately he could not bring that success and dominance to the NBA where he middled for 8 seasons ending up in Toronto in 2001 and 2002 before ending his professional career.

Former North Carolina and NBA big man Eric Montross, who began treatment for cancer in March, died Sunday at the age of 52, his family announced.
