The opinionated jerk tells people that Brit cars are the best, American and Japanese cars are crap. He has made insulting statements against Americans like Lower income Americans have incest with their sisters. He also likes hand made outragiously expensive one of a kind cars like Zondas and Koenigzeds.
He tells people that produce the Toyota Prius more polution is made in the production of the car than the car can make up in clean air in its lifetime. Without any proof to back that up. I do not know that it is true or not, but any steps to produce a cleaner car must start with experimentation. His me myself and I attitude may be damaging and dangerous to mankind.

I love his show personally. He takes some serious pokes at all car manufactures, not just American and Japanese. He's disliked many Brit cars.
It's all in fun, at least he has the balls to bash anything he doesn't like, unlike the American and Canadian shows and mags that rely on the automobile sector to pay for their adverstising. It's hard for Car and Driver to bash the latest Ford model when Ford just placed three, full page advertisments in the same issue as the review is printed. Nothing like biting the hand that feeds you.

Personally I have never seen the show or heard of the man. However people can exercise their right to show displeasure by not watching or listening to him. Just as people can show their support by listening and watching.
Too often people come out publicly and say I hate this or that and unless you are a sick fuck or mentally deficient you must hate it too. Not cool when people do this.

Jeremy Clarkson, Limbaugh, and Bin Laden plays to their audience. The say what their people want to hear so long as they are made the leader. Clarkson tells the Brits that they are superior to the Americans, Japanese, and Germans. He does this under the guise of he is just joking.
Lets not get too carried away here guys, it's just a car show. Much of it is "tongue and cheek" I don't think Bin Laden warrants mention in the same sentence as a Top Gear host.

Just like Andrew Dice Clay plays to his audience, he tells jokes in a toungue in cheek way about women. Well, you are entitled to your opinion and he DOES have data to back it up. There was a study a few years ago and it was found the HUMMER actually pollutes less overall than the prius.HAMSTER INSPECTOR said:

With an older model vehicle the cost and impact to produce the molds, parts, dies, etc is spread out over more models over more years. Maybe in the future the prius will be more efficient, but as of right now? It isn't.

BTW: I don't know if you realize this but they DO test american cars and he did in fact buy a Ford GT (don't know if he still has it). They did a road test with the vette, the new challenger and the Caddie SVT CVS or whatever and he specifically stated they were all 3, great cars.
Anyhow, I think he's a riot and spot on.....
Because there are limited air waves and they are owned by corporations there should be a greater sense of responsibility to truth instead of personalities
